Brushless Motor Setup with the Stock Controller
First off, let me give you a diagram on what we are going to do when we open up the 4n1 controller.
Thanks Vector for the Image and the patience. :)
The Servo Extension Cable
Take a servo extension cable with a Male and Female ending connections.
Cut the center red wire out
The 4n1 Controller
First disconnect your 4n1 controller and take it apart.
See the plastic bar on the servo slot side. We need to remove that.
I used a hobby file and filed off pretty smoothly.
Solder Hacking the 4n1 Controller
I thought it would be better to solder two pins rather than permanently soldering the ESC wires directly to the 4n1 board. That way you can just slide on the servo extension cable onto the soldered pins. This makes it a lot easier to solder too. This guide will be taking that route.
Remember the image we first started out with? This is the real picture.
Here is the image with the pins soldered on the 4n1 Controller
Caution these images are very big(1.2mb), I wanted to make them big so you can get a good look at the soldered the pins.
The final look.
A special thanks to EJ.Martin for helping me solder the pins.
