I've found it best to make sure to use 8 zip ties, because if you only use 4 they will likely bounce off in a rough landing.
If you don't tighten the zip ties too tight (make sure you get them tight enough though), you can take the landing gear off and put them back on reusing the zip ties without cutting them. This makes it so you can put the heli back in the box, or in your carrier, like the wing tote heli box.
You can also take the zip ties and put them on one of the CF rods, and put the center disk on to hold them on in transit so you don't loose them. The separate zip tie is for size reference to see how big the loop and the tail need to be.
This shows you how to interlock the zip ties to hold them together and help them from coming apart in a hard landing. Note how big the zip ties loop is, and how long the tail is to make them so they can interlock. Also note where the ratchet is relative to the CF rod on the training gear, and the skid supports on the landing gear. This is the easiest way to hook it back up, if you don't align them properly you might end up with a struggle getting it back together.
