The Layout

The Landing Gear

First off let’s remove the standard landing gear.

Push the clear silicon tubing grip up and pull down on the landing gear. It should smoothly come off. I would pull one side off at a time. Be careful not to lose the clear pieces as they fall off.

Note: If you're wondering where the cool coil that is around the servo wires came from Bbrooks found it at the Home Depot in the electrical wiring section.

This is the front piece (notice it is not the piece with the V in the middle).

Now screw the front landing gear to the base of the frame like shown below. Torque the screws, screw one screw half way and then start on the other. Make sure the screws are snug. Note: Make sure not to over tighten the screws, you could easily strip the screw or plastic. Now install the rear mount the same way.

The Wing

Now take the nut and washer out of the tail wing. Spread the clip and snap it over the boom. I had to use my knife to get it started as show in the picture below.

Next you need to attach the struts as show in the picture below. Make sure the struts are mounted in the middle and not on the side. Screw the wing screw in with the washer and bolt, but do not tighten yet.

Slide the struts toward the rear mount. The strut loop goes in between rear mount and rear mount landing gear. I would start the screw and put the loop over the screw and then start screwing to the rear mount.

Slide the wing up or backwards until you have a 90 degree angle.

Now tighten the wing screw and the two screws on the rear landing gear.

Now we are on to the tail fin. Slide the tail fin loop over the tail strut support.

Now unscrew the two tail fin screws and attach it around the boom. Screw the screws snug. (I only unscrewed one screw and slid it over the boom.

Now push the Tail saver bead on the tail support strut.

The Battery Frame

Note depending on where the battery clips will be placed will depend on the battery you use. This will be a good starting point. The directions say to cut one silicon tube in half. That leaves us with two small silicon grips. Push the rod through the rear hole and slide two large silicon grips over the rod. Slide your battery mount and then the small silicon grip. Now slide it through the front mount. Slide two more large silicon grips > battery mount > large silicon mount.

L - Large silicon tube
S - Small silicon tube
B - Battery mount
F - Frame
[L]=[B]=[L]=[L]=[F]=[S]=[B]=[L]======================[L]=[F]=[L]=[L]=========

Now do the other side the same way. Install the Aluminum skids through the landing gear so that the logo is on the outside. Make sure to apply some CA glue for the skid caps. They do intend to come off.

Insert the antenna tube. I ran the antenna from the front to the back. I then ran it again through the back to the front. It is possible to do this. It may take some patience. Once the antenna was to the front I wrapped the antenna around the tube as show in the picture below.

See Tips Wiki How to Wrap the Antenna Tube for an alternate method

Well there you have it! You’re new SUPER-SKIDS!! I hope this has helped installing the Super-Skids. Please check out http://www.super-skids.com
