This is a pic of a modified tower hobbies Tx battery meter by SSG Scott. It's modified to work with 3s lipo's. It has 7 LED's on it that let you know how many volts your battery is putting out. This is especially useful, because you want to stay above 3.0v under a load, and if you measure that open current, it will more likely be about 10.5v or so. As the LED's go down it lets you know that you are getting closer to the end of your pack. When the LED's turn red, you are at 9.0v and need to land immediately. It's especially useful for beginners that don't quite know how to read the lipo yet and tell when it is getting low.

Another useful feature of the meter is that it will let you know before your motors go out (main or tail). If you are flying and you have the battery meter connected and you see the meter is green, and then bumps down to red and then back up to green. This means your motor is failing and you need to land and check it out and replace it. This worked for me and saved me from a crash =)

It comes with either no connector, a JST connector (stock e-flite's connector), or a deans connector, so it is really plug and play. It only weighs 5g with all the wiring and a JST connector.
